Joe Haight - President

Joe is the Co-founder and President of Canal Life. He spent ten years as an artist in the music industry and fifteen years in the logistics industry. Joe started his logistics career in 2006 as a courier for Need It Now in NYC. He progressed through a series of operations roles within the Need It Now organization to Senior Vice President of Operations.

Joe’s vision for Canal Life is to unify the community through civic engagement, highlight and enhance the local art scene, and drive business to the historic district of Canal Fulton, OH.

Kennedy Haight - Executive Director

Kennedy is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Canal Life. She is a customer service and business professional with a degree in long-term care administration from Bowling Green State University. She has served on the executive board of multiple organizations with a focus on leadership and volunteerism.

Kennedy is passionate about harnessing the pride residents already have for Canal Fulton and giving back to the community that has given her so much.

Tarrah Hale - Board of Directors

Tarrah Hale has over twenty years of experience as a customer service and sales professional. She earned her cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell Sacramento in 2017 and studied social media and marketing at Summit Professional Education. As an owner of the Canal Boat Lounge in the Historic Downtown District of Canal Fulton, Ohio, since 2020, she has developed strong ties with the community. Tarrah values positivity and inclusion within her business.

Doug Cohen - Board of Directors

Doug has over fifteen years of experience growing revenues for various businesses. In that time, he has consulted many not-for-profit organizations on operational, information technology, and data management best practices. In addition to growing revenue, he has over three years of experience in leadership, building teams, creating and refining corporate culture, and forecasting results. Outside of his professional life, he's actively involved in volunteer work and is a member of the local arts community in Northern NJ, Boston, and New York.

Logan Waggoner - Naturalist

Logan has five years of experience in environmental studies. He studied environmental and field biology, environmental law, and environmental education at Ohio Northern University and has a unique skill set within his field. Specializing in freshwater ecology, he’s led research projects on critically endangered fish in Ecuador, lotic water system health all over Ohio, and Lake Michigan ecology in Traverse City, Michigan. 

Logan advocates for environmental education and translating complex environmental phenomena to a wider base. In his free time, Logan loves to camp, travel, and do anything related to being outdoors.
